A Historic Home with a Modern Twist
This ranch-style remodel has a remarkable history, dating back to 1916 when the home was first built. Our vision for this space was to open up the layout and bring in more natural light. To achieve this, we began by stripping down the aging structure to its original framing, allowing us to reimagine the home from the ground up.
Designing for Light and Functionality
Vaulted ceilings were incorporated to create a sense of openness and space, while larger windows allowed an abundance of natural light to flood the interior. We strategically placed the galley kitchen towards the back of the house, ensuring there was ample room for a large wet bar, complete with a wine fridge, additional sink, and more cabinet space for both function and style.
Blending Tradition with Modern Touches
The dark wood flooring throughout the home harmonized beautifully with the modern fixtures and a textured accent wall in the living room, adding a touch of sophistication and warmth.
Outdoor Living at Its Best
To complete the transformation, we added a large outdoor deck and thoughtfully landscaped the yard to provide additional privacy, creating the perfect environment for both relaxation and entertaining.
